This project included the design and construction of the widening of the George Bean Parkway to provide an additional lane into and out of Tampa International Airport, as well as around the terminal. It also included the design and construction of the Red Side Recirculation Bridge along with drainage improvements, signing and pavement marking (S&PM), and milling and resurfacing of all asphalt surfaces. Additionally, the project included a traffic study and concept layout for the transportation improvements necessary to support the proposed north terminal. The overall project design and construction cost was $30.3 million.
