McIntosh Road PD&E Study & Design

KCA provided public involvement services and completed the environmental document for FDOT District Seven to conduct a PD&E study of McIntosh Road from south of US 92 to north of I-4. The contract included design services necessary to accelerate the project development. This project’s purpose is to address future vehicle capacity as well as to improve safety conditions along McIntosh Road. The study also included operational improvements at the I-4 ramps. The roadway provided system linkages to US 92 and I-4, which are Strategic Intermodal System (SIS) facilities and designated hurricane evacuation route. The PD&E evaluated improvements including widening McIntosh Road to a four-lane divided roadway with shared-use paths. The project included a joint public hearing with Branch Forbes Road PD&E Study.
