Design Build (D/B) SR 54/SR 56 Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)
KCA was tasked with providing new ATMS infrastructures along SR 54 and SR 56 from Gunn Highway to Bruce B Downs Boulevard including, 27 signalized intersections. The project included upgrading existing signal cabinets to TS2 Cabinets at multiple intersections, adding Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras at multiple intersections, adding standalone CCTV Cameras at key locations throughout the corridor, adding two Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Hub Buildings within the limits of the Project, installing two video monitors at the Pasco County Traffic Operations Center, adding Bluetooth Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) Systems at multiple intersections, adding Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPM), Advanced Detection at multiple intersections using Vehicle Detection System (VDS) technology, upgrading existing signal controllers to Cobalt Controllers at multiple intersections, installing Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) conduit for the entire Project limits, installing 144-count FOC for the entire Project limits, installing 12-count FOC drops to each signal cabinet at multiple intersections, removing or place “out of service” existing conduit at multiple locations within the Project limits, adding crosswalks, signalized intersection lighting, sidewalk connections, and pedestrian signals at multiple intersections, milling and resurfacing asphalt pavement to remove existing pavement markings at multiple intersections, and other work associated with the above items, including roadway, drainage, utility coordination, environmental permitting, structures, signing and pavement markings (S&PM), signalization, lighting, ITS, geotechnical, and survey.
