B-5988 Burns Street Bridge Replacement-Division 10 LAP Oversight Contract, Town of Wadesboro, NC
KCA was tasked with providing CA services, including CEI and materials inspections, for the construction of the Burns Street Bridge Replacement project. The work was financed in part with federal funding administered by NCDOT in accordance with the latest LAP procedures. The bridge spans Lampley Creek and is located on Burns Street. The new bridge is 55 feet long with a cored slab deck, cast in place barrier rail, and asphalt overlay on the bridge deck. KCA services included pay app review and approval, wage rate interviews, certified payroll review, claims review, supplemental agreement execution, and project document review and adherence to federal and state requirements. The scope of this project also included erosion control, grading, drainage, asphalt paving, structures, tree removal and planting, curb and gutter, guardrail, utility adjustments, fencing, S&PM, and work zone traffic control (WZTC). KCA’s goal was to ensure the project site was safe for the traveling public and the construction workers; constructed in accordance with plans and specifications; and is constructed according to town, state, and federal standards.
