Commercial Diver – Assistant Bridge Safety Inspector

Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp, a Florida based company, is seeking a certified commercial diver to join our bridge inspection team as an assistant inspector. This position will require assisting an inspection team leader in above water and underwater field inspections of bridges and ancillary structures and the report documentation of those inspections. The position will be responsible for gathering measurements, cleaning and inspecting bridges in various capacities. This is a full-time position that requires a 40-hour work schedule (80% field work, 20% office work) with some overtime.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

  • This position requires considerable physical activity such as:
    • Climbing ladders or steps
    • Lifting arms above shoulder level (i.e. lifting items into a truck or overhead area).
    • Lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs
    • Working at heights of up to 50’ or more.
    • Working in confined or enclosed spaces
    • Standing or sitting for long periods of time.
    • Walking moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more at times)
  • Applicants should be able to understand and follow instructions required to perform the job in a safe manor.
  • May travel and work a week at a time away from home.
  • May work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
  • Required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed boots, and other applicable PPE.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • Commercial Diver Certification (ADCI)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration Certifications
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a background check and MVR check.
  • Ability to safely operate all equipment
  • Ability to pass “Fit to Dive” Physical exams
