Kisinger Campo & Associates (KCA) is proud to be recognized with the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Best Overall Design-Build Project of the Year – Award of Merit (Transportation Category) for our work on the Sanibel Causeway Emergency Repair Project.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Ian, the Sanibel Causeway, an essential link connecting Sanibel Island to Florida’s Gulf Coast, suffered catastrophic damage, cutting off access for residents, first responders, and essential services. In collaboration with our project partners, KCA responded immediately, working around the clock to restore this critical lifeline.

Through innovation, teamwork, and determination, and under extraordinary conditions, the design-build team successfully reestablished safe access to the island in record time. The project stands as a testament to what’s possible when expertise and collaboration come together in the face of immense challenges.

KCA is incredibly proud of our team and partners who made this achievement possible and are honored that the DBIA has recognized the project’s excellence in design, execution, and impact.
