Last week, KCA team members attended the 2026 American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) Banquet in Orlando, where we were honored to receive the EEA Grand Award for our SR 429 Widening & Systemwide Flex Lane System project.
We were proud to celebrate this achievement alongside our coworkers, project partners, and the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX). CFX’s Flex Lanes represent a first-of-their-kind, state-of-the-art expressway traffic management system designed to relieve congestion and reduce delays caused by crashes and other incidents across Central Florida.
Led by Project Manager Roger Rossitto, PE, the KCA team evaluated, analyzed, planned, and designed approximately 13 miles of Flex Lanes on SR 429 and 21 miles on SR 417, helping deliver a flexible, innovative solution to meet the region’s growing mobility needs.
We want to recognize the collaboration and hard work that made this award possible, and we are honored to help advance infrastructure that supports Central Florida’s continued growth. A special thank you to our partner, Kittelson & Associates, Inc.! #KCAProud #AwardWinningProject #ACECFL #EngineeringExcellence #2026EEA
